I have a 6 volt Delco-Remy voltage regulator from an old car. Years ago, an uncle made a "buzzer" from one and hooked it to a morse key. I learned morse code with it.

Now I would like to build one for my grandson. Can anyone tell me how to clip the wires so that I can use the coil on the regulator as a buzzer? Also, do you think a 9 volt battery (like a square type toy battery) would power the field?
